Dan and Joy Irvine
In 1981, Dan and Joy began their missionary work in Haiti. Dan was a church planter and director of education while Joy supervised schooling for American missionary children. Following their time in Haiti, they lived in Florida for 10 years where Dan was involved in various ministries. In 1995, God called them back to their home state of Pennsylvania where they served on staff at Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church.
Currently, the Irvines are in their third term of missionary service with Global Partners where Dan serves as the Caribe Atlantic Area Director. The area is made up of mission units in French Guiana, Guyana, Haiti, and Suriname. Together, Dan and Joy serve expatriate missionaries in their area, stand alongside the national church leadership, and develop resources for capital investment and other project within the area.
Dan is a dynamic speaker and experienced leader in international development partnerships. He has significant experience in leading a local church, disaster response following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, and long-term development projects with numerous international aid and faith based partnerships. He is available to speak or teach for church services, missions conferences, or mission team trainings.
